Description
Azziz is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour (France). His doctoral research, entitled “Today’s Buildings, Tomorrow’s Climate: Assessing the Impact of Climate Change on Thermal Comfort and Energy Efficiency”, focuses on modelling and analysing how future climate scenarios affect building performance and occupants’ comfort.During his visit to UEA from 02/02/2026 to 02/05/2026, he will work with Dr Landini on the experimental testing and modelling of phase change materials (PCMs) for heat storage and release in buildings. The aim is to design and carry out laboratory tests to analyse supercooling, solidification and melting behaviour of these materials under different climatic conditions and to integrate the results into simulations of thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings.
This visit is directly related to Azziz's doctoral project and will contribute to his research objectives.
