Special Issue on Climate Evidence Reviews - This Special Issue presents reviews of global evidence completed by the Independent Evaluation Unit of the Green Climate Fund on topics that are critical for climate action. Each review is based on a structured literature search guided by a protocol; each appraises the quality of evidence presented and each illustrates the evidence base in an easy-to-understand manner. The Special Issue presents systematic reviews, evidence gap maps and a realist review. Four of the reviews have been co-developed and completed with other multilateral organisations. Climatic change is projected to intensify over the coming decades, resulting in dramatic impacts on natural and human systems. The need for both adaptation and mitigation is clear, as is the need for trusted evidence to inform policies to achieve the greatest impact from climate projects.
