Activity: Participating in or organising an event › Schools engagement
Description
Devised and Delivered an interactive webinar for Channel Talent titled “How does NMR actually work, and how do organic chemists actually use it?” The session introduced students to the principles of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy and demonstrated how organic chemists use NMR data to identify and analyse molecular structures. The activity included interactive elements to encourage engagement, support understanding of spectroscopy, and highlight real-world applications of chemistry in research and problem-solving.
This went out to around 63 participants, both groups from schools and individual students, from all around the country.
Feedback from one School:
"A class of A-Level chemists found it fantastic to hear about NMR in the wider world"
