Description
the 'Racing in the East' exhibition, curated by Dr Richard Mills, travelled to the Diss Heritage Transport Festival for the fourth leg of its tour. The display was erected in the open air as part of the wider event. Underpinned by two Open Access research articles which bring together the Centre of East Anglian Studies and the East Centre for the study of East and Central Europe and the former Soviet space, the exhibition underlines the region’s stature in international motorsport, highlights the extensive interactions between East Anglia and the wider world, and celebrates migrant riders and foreign machines that stood in the vanguard of continental interactions with the region. Hundreds of members of the public saw the exhibits during this one day event.Period | 22 Sept 2024 |
