Description
The 'Racing in the East' exhibition, curated by Dr Richard Mills, travelled to the first Norwich History Festival, 2025. This multi-venue event was hosted across the city. 'Racing in the East' was installed in the prime location of The Forum foyer 16-17 July, and served to generate awareness of the new festival on the days of its launch. The exhibition attracted significant media attention, including coverage on the BBC website. It was also the focus of an edition of BBC Radio Norfolk's 'Secret Norfolk' podcast series. Underpinned by two Open Access research articles which bring together the Centre of East Anglian Studies and the East Centre for the study of East and Central Europe and the former Soviet space, 'Racing in the East' underlines the region’s stature in international motorsport, highlights the extensive interactions between East Anglia and the wider world, and celebrates migrant riders and foreign machines that stood in the vanguard of continental interactions with the region.| Period | 16 Jul 2025 → 17 Jul 2025 |
