Description
The 'Racing in the East' exhibition, curated by Dr Richard Mills, launched over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Underpinned by two Open Access research articles which bring together the Centre of East Anglian Studies and the East Centre for the study of East and Central Europe and the former Soviet space, the exhibition underlines the region’s stature in international motorsport, highlights the extensive interactions between East Anglia and the wider world, and celebrates migrant riders and foreign machines that stood in the vanguard of continental interactions with the region. The launch event was hosted by Hungate Medieval Art, Princes Street, Norwich. It was attended by over 400 visitors and received coverage in the print media, BBC Local Radio, and online.Period | 24 Aug 2024 → 25 Aug 2024 |
