Re-imagining Anti-oppressive and Anti-discriminatory practice in social work

Activity: Participating in or organising an eventInvited talk

Description

The marginalisation of minoritised theories, ways of knowing, being and doing have fuelled the campaign to decolonise social work education in the UK and internationally. However, whilst much have been written about decolonising the social work curriculum, limited research exists on decolonising social work practice learning. The Workshop presents findings from an international research project on decolonising social work practice education and learning experiences. Packed full of activities the workshop offers practice tips on decolonising the practice supervisory experience between students/practitioners and their supervisors.
