Activity: Participating in or organising an event › Workshop with external stakeholders/organisations
Description
In the last couple of decades translation has been rethought and redefined in the light of creativity and, therefore, as a form of creative writing. In what ways does the process of translation differ from the writing process? What are the implications for translation pedagogy if we think primarily of translation as a creative writing process? What might literary translators gain from participating in creative writing workshops? The workshop will address these questions from a practical angle by proposing a couple of exercises that will allow participants to develop their ‘literary creativity’.
