A public lecture and debate with the Finance Minister of Kerala, Dr Thomas Isaac, who is currently devising policies to curb the creation of waste in Kerala. At this lecture, I explained the historical origins of waste-creation and advised on how it can be reduced in the modern age. The lecture and subsequent hour-long debate informed a range of policy-makers (not only the Finance Minster but also leaders from local community and action groups who are concerned about Kerala's waste disposal).
