A new method of numerical calculus, coming from cutting-edge research in applied mathematics, is being disseminated at the level of school teaching. Its dissemination is supported by a philosophical treatment that emphasises the new appreciation of the concept of infinity afforded by this method and its application to the resolution of many paradoxes of infinity.
