Organisation profile
Our interdisciplinary community of educational researchers is organised within the following flexible domains supporting a range of research groups and activities, research-led teaching, as well as our areas of specialism for doctoral supervision:
- Pedagogy, Curriculum and Professional Learning– focusing on the development and support of applied and practice-based research with a bearing on educational issues
- International Education and Social Change - focusing on education policies and practices in the Global South
- Lifelong Learning Cultures– focusing on the broader contexts in which young people learn, develop and practise identities in coming to comprehend the worlds in which they live and will live
As a School with a strong history of research-led professional development, we are committed to leading the way in key debates and in innovation towards inclusive, effective and innovative pedagogies, locally, nationally and internationally. Our overarching focus is always on ‘what makes a difference’ in educational provision to the communities we work with.
