We address clinically important questions through an applied health research agenda that will make a difference to people’s lives. We work in partnership with health, social care, industry, and our communities that span the urban, rural and coastal areas of the East of England to various countries around the world. Our research informs health and social care services and public policy and empowers people to take action to improve their health and wellbeing and that of their families and communities.
Our research strategy builds on our current areas of strength, including inclusive practice, behavioural science, biomechanics, complex intervention development and evaluation, digital health, epidemiology, public health, ethnography, evidence synthesis, implementation science, linguistic analysis, neuroimaging, clinical neurophysiology, and trial methodology. We are currently involved in more than 100 research and consultancy studies, seeking to improve health and wellbeing across the life course, from healthy childhoods to end of life.
