Personal profile


I am an Associate Professor in Innovation Management at the Norwich Business School (NBS). 


I am also a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.


I was Associate Dean for Internationalisation in the Social Sciences Faculty between 2015-2019.

I gained my PhD in Technology and Innovation Management from the University of Sussex at the Science and technology Policy Research (SPRU). 

Prior to joining the NBS I worked for the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) designing and implementing technological projects in the fields of Internet, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Renewable Energy mainly in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Key Research Interests and Expertise

My main research interests are currently focused on the socio-economic, ethical as well as their regulatory and policy related issues regarding the introduction and use of Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence tools in service industries such as banking and education.

Lastly, I have contributed to the content of the first UEA's Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) called "The Secret Power of Brands". The course is currently followed by 50,000 students worldwide.

Administrative Roles within the Social Sciences Faculty

From September 2015, I have been appointed the Social Sciences Faculty Associate Dean for Internationalisation.


Administrative Roles within the Norwich Business School and the University of East Anglia

From September 2016, I will be member of the University of East Anglia Senate.

From September 2015 I became the Norwich Business School Deputy Senior Advisor

Since March 2013, I am the Norwich Business School's Senior Advisor. 

External relationships

I am active member of the following associations: International Association for Management of Technology, Econ@Tel A Telecommunications Economics COST Network, Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet), and Internet Society (ISOC) Chapter England and Mexico.
