Personal profile

Biography

Before I joined Norwich Business School in October 2012 I worked at BPP Professional Education for five years as a Subject Specialist.  My role meant that as well as teaching on professional qualifications courses I led specific papers, providing training and guidance to other tutors, preparing course materials and online lectures and generally trying to support my colleagues' teaching.  I carried out this role for ICAEW Advanced Level Corporate Reporting and Audit & Assurance, and for the ACCA paper P1 Governance, Risk and Ethics.  I was also involved in developing scholarship at BPP and organised the production of some of BPP's first Working Papers.

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 while working for Spicer and Oppenheim (subsequently part of Deloitte).  I worked as a manager in accountancy firms in the Thames Valley and qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.  I have been involved in education since 1996.

Teaching Interests

I am currently teaching Financial Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting and Personal & Corporate Taxation.
