Personal profile
Biography
I am a Lecturer in Evidence-Based Low-Intensity Psychological Therapies, working in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies. I joined the UEA academic staff in October 2021 having worked as a PWP in Norfolk. I also obtained my PGCert in Low-Intensity CBT from the UEA.
I contribute to several aspects of the PWP training, including teaching, designing course materials, acting as a Personal Advisor to students and liaising with our partner IAPT services.
My academic background before training in IAPT is in Psychology. My early research interests were in the area of public attitudes to mental health, perceived danger and gender. I also investigated the links between personality, fantasy proneness and the use of cognitive processes, specifically mental imagery and maladaptive daydreaming.
I am currently studying towards a PGCert in Higher Education Practice.
