Personal profile

Biography

I joined NBS in September 2011 as a part-time lecturer in Finance. Previously I spent 20 years in investment banking and investment management for European financial institutions.  I moved from structured finance lending at Deutsche Bank to infrastructure financial advisory work with Barclays Capital into investment management with Innisfree, ING and Climate Change Capital.

I graduated from Loughborough University with a first class BA (Hons) in Business Administration with a modern language and also hold an MBA in Strategic Carbon Management with distinction from UEA.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

External Activities

I chair Greencoat Capital LLP's Valuation Committee.  Greencoat Capital is a renewable energy sector focused investment manager with over £3billion of assets under management across private and listed funds in the UK and Europe.

I provide consultancy services for investment/fund managers in the renewable energy sector, advising on the set-up of funds (listed and GP/LP structures) and the portfolio/asset management activities.  Clients have included Climate Change Capital, Temporis Capital and Greencoat Capital.

I also hold a number of non-excecutive director positions and am a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

 

 

Key Research Interests and Expertise

I am interested in research in the areas of responsible investment, renewable energy, project finance.
