International Research Funding Manager

Biography

I am a PhD-qualified molecular biologist with more than fifteen years’ experience in managing international research programmes. I worked in the Norwich Research Park for more than 10 years as a post-doctoral Marie Curie fellow and as an independent researcher holding a BBSRC David Phillips fellowship, which allowed me to develop my own research focused on fungal pathogens and plant immunity. I joined the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP, Spain) as a Senior Lecturer/Group Leader in September 2011. I wrote successful projects to the EU, the Spanish Research Council and the Community of Madrid to expand further my research interests based on RNA metabolism and fungal plant infection. After leading successfully my research group (see list of awarded projects and publications), I joined the Research and Innovation Division at UEA in Jan 2019, first as International Research Funding Manager and currently as Postgraduate Research Partnerships Manager.
