Biography

I am an Associate Professor in Finance at Norwich Business School where I have been the Head of the Finance Group from 2015 to 2024. I am a Visiting Professor for the MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia. I am also a Visiting Researcher at the Durham University IHHR Forecasting Laboratory. I am a regular member of the American Finance Association and the European Finance Association and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I read for my doctorate at the Athens University of Economics and Business.  Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained an MSc in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Athens.

Key Research Interests

My current research interests include portfolio selection, forecasting, risk management, blockchain finance and sustainable finance. My recent articles focus on portfolio choice under estimation risk and on return moment forecasting and has been published in leading international peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Banking and Finance and the Journal of Empirical Finance. I have presented my work in several universities and international conferences. My articles have been featured in popular media outlets, such as the Financial Times, Bloomberg and the Telegraph. 

I am in the Topical Advisory Panel for Management & Economics of Forecasting and in the Editors & External Reviewers Board of The Journal of British Blockchain Association. I have served as a referee for several international academic journals, including Management Science, Journal of Banking and Finance, the Economic Journal, the Journal of Empirical Finance and the European Journal of Operational Research. 

I am co-organising the International Symposium in Finance. The symposium has the format of a paper development workshop, where invited speakers and poster session participants receive feedback on their work from leading experts and journal editors.

Teaching Interests

I enjoy delivering lectures in all areas of Finance including Corporate Finance, Investments, Blockhain and Financial Technology. At NBS, I have been involved in teaching the following modules:
