Biography

Ben Evans is a Postgraduate Researcher at the School of Law and a member of the Centre for Competition Policy (CCP). He holds an LLM in Information Technology and Intellectual Property Law.

Ben's doctoral research is focussed on the problem of data advantage and explores the interplay between competition law and information technology and intellectual property law. He is particularly interested in the development of EU and UK law relating to data, the regulation of digital markets, digital intellectual property law, and cloud computing law.

Ben is a member of the Society for Computers and Law (SCL) and a regular contributor to Computers and Law. He is also a member of the SCL Book Review panel.

Teaching Interests

Ben has experience teaching EU and UK competition law, including the economics of competition law, and has lectured on the regulation of digital markets.
