Academic Background
Having studied BA Media and Performance in Manchester, Carrie spent 10 years working in television and media production before moving into Higher Education. Throughout this time she worked with many young people through both paid and voluntary roles including as a film and TV chaperone, a summer playworker, a Girl Guide leader and a classroom volunteer. This passion for working with young people brought Carrie to UEA where she began her first role as a mentor for students in local schools and colleges. She moved into the UEA events team organising the subject specific enrichment summer schools, before taking up her current role as an Outreach Officer, working with Primary, Secondary and college students to inform and engage them about Higher Education.
