Biography
Chris completed his MA in Photographic Studies from the Norwich University of the Arts. Following this he went on to receive numerous local authority and national grants for his film exhibitions and projects. His creative practice involves working with amateur film footage on the changing face of cities and towns. In December 2014 he was interviewed on BBC Radio Norfolk by Matthew Gudgin about his film project on the construction of Westlegate Tower, Norwich.
Key Research Interests
Chris is currently undertaking a PhD in Film Studies, investigating and interrogating how amateur filmmakers responded to changes to the built environment from 1946 to 1980. At the heart of his research is the political and physical impact of the New Towns Act.
