Biography

Dr Micallef has a B.Pharm. (Hons) (Malta), MPhil in clinical bacteriology (Malta) and a PhD in clinical bacteriology (London). She is an experienced hospital pharmacist specialising in infection management and works in Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals, Cambridge, UK, as a principal pharmacist in infection management (from Jan 2013)  and as an independent consultant. Dr Micallef has occupied several positions in Malta (EU) and in England,  which include academic, national and hospital roles.

Her research work focuses primarily on antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and is open to collaboration.
