Personal profile
Biography
I am currently a senior research associate working on the SOC - Southern Ocean Clouds project. The focus is the representation of clouds over the Southern Ocean in numerical weather prediction and climate models.
My postgraduate research was on the challenge of modelling and forecasting fog. The research focused on the evaluation of both kilometre and sub-kilometre scale numerical weather prediction models using data from the Local and Non-Local Fog Experiment (LANFEX) which took place from 2014-2016. Additionally, using both the LANFEX observations and model output, experiments have been performed to further the understanding of how different physical processes impact the formation, development and dissipatation of fog in different conditions.
