Personal profile
Biography
I graduated with a 1st class (HONS) degree in Analytical Chemistry and before teaching, worked for several years in industrial laboratories. Since graduating from the UEA Primary PGCE, I have taught across KS2, held senior management positions including Head of Year and, in 2010, gained a Master’s in Education. Within school, I have been Literacy, Computing and Curriculum coordinator, a leading teacher for Gifted and Talented, and Educational Visits Coordinator. However, science has always been my passion and I have coordinated the subject for many years, gaining a Silver Primary Science Quality Mark during this time. It is my firm belief that it is a practical subject that involves finding things out rather than looking for a correct answer. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to pass on my knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the subject to the next generation of teachers.
