Biography
Duncan received his BA, MA and DPhil in Modern Languages (French and German) from Oxford University. He worked at the University of Paris III, Trinity College Dublin and Swansea University before joining UEA as Academic Director of the British Centre for Literary Translation in 2014. A member of the AHRC Peer Review College since 2010, he has chaired the PETRA-E Network of European literary translation training institutions since 2017. He is a General Editor of The Complete Works of Friedrich Nietzsche (Stanford University Press) and the monograph series Routledge Studies in Literary Translation.
