Personal profile

Academic Background

I am an evolutionary biologist with specific interests in the use of ‘omics’ to address evolutionary questions. My background has principally focused on investigating how whole genome duplication events have impacted Corydoras catfishes from both the perspective of adaptive and genomic evolution.

I am currently a Lecturer in Ecology. I teach on and organise the 'Behavioural Ecology' and 'Parasite and Pathogen Ecology' modules for level 5. I also teach on 'Skills for Biologists', 'Evolution, Behaviour and Ecology' and 'Biodiversity' modules for level 4 and the 'Evolutionary Biology' module for level 5. In addition, I am a post-doctoral mentoring officer for post-doctoral researchers from across the Norwich Research Park who wish to acquire teaching experience in the School of Biological Sciences.
