Career

I became academic developer in 2012 with a specialisation in digital practice and instructional design. This interest in technology draws on 16 years' teaching on an online MA in professional communications at Sheffield Hallam University and on a first career in the software industry where I started as technical writer before moving into training. 

Key Responsibilities

My responsibilities as academic developer at UEA involve:

  • teaching on the PGCert and MA in Higher Education Practice
  • contributing to the Academic Development short courses (e.g. digital practice, creative learning, research skills)
  • providing ad-hoc consultancy and support to individuals, schools and faculties.
