Personal profile

Biography

I am an Associate Professor in Corporate Governance and  a member of the Responsible Business Regulation Group at NBS where I was the course leader for MSc Finance and Management and MSc Investment and Financial Management from September 2017 to September 2019. I joined NBS in May 2012. Prior to that I worked at Bocconi University in Milan where I was Teaching Assistant in General Management  and Corporate Governance courses. I worked also as a Research Fellow at  Salerno University  and as Researcher at SDA Bocconi School of Management and Parthenope University of Naples on different research projects on Corporate Governance themes.

I began my career at Parthenope University of Naples where in 2004 I graduated with my MA in Economics, International Management and Foreign Exchange Markets and where in 2008 I completed my PhD in Business Administration and Governance. During 2007 I was also visiting scholar at IESE Business School, University of Navarra.

My main research interest is corporate governance, with a focus on corporate governance codes, board of directors, board independence, board diversity,ownership structure, separation between ownership and control and institutional investors activism. My publications include articles in international journals such as British Journal of Management and Corporate Governance: An International Review

I'm a member of the editorial board of Corporate Governance: An International Review.

Key Research Interests

My main research interest is corporate governance, with a focus on corporate governance codes, boards of directors, ownership structure, institutional investors, corporate networks, separation between ownership and control.
