Biography

I am an Associate Professor in Corporate Governance and the Head of the Responsible Business Regulation Group at the Norwich Business School (NBS).

I joined NBS in May 2012. Prior to that I worked at Bocconi University in Milan where I was Teaching Assistant in General Management  and Corporate Governance courses. I worked also as a Research Fellow at  Salerno University  and as Researcher at SDA Bocconi School of Management and Parthenope University of Naples on different research projects on Corporate Governance themes.

I began my career at Parthenope University of Naples where in 2004 I graduated with my MA in Economics, International Management and Foreign Exchange Markets and where in 2008 I completed my PhD in Business Administration and Governance. During 2007 I was also visiting scholar at IESE Business School, University of Navarra.

My main research interest is international corporate governance, with a focus on ESG regulations and disclosures, ownership structure, institutional investors activism, responsible institutional investors, financial and non-financial disclosures and performance, corporate social responsibility, board and subcommittees' diversity, say on pay, shareholders dissent on management and shareholder proposals. My publications include articles in international journals such as British Journal of Management, Corporate Governance: An International Review and The European Journal of Finance.
