Academic Background

Gareth Hagger-Johnson is a Senior Research Fellow at University College London and Honorary Research Fellow at Norwich Medical School whose research spans personality traits and health behaviours, life course epidemiology, and the social determinants of health. He has made significant methodological contributions to data linkage, including developing probabilistic approaches to enhance deterministic algorithms and reduce linkage errors in hospital administrative data, and has co-authored guidance on best practices for linking administrative and survey datasets.
