Biography

Gareth obtained an LLB (Hons) at UEA, graduating in 2005, securing the Malcolm Hitchcock Memorial Prize for the best  performance in the Land Law examinations in 2003 and the prize for the best performance in the overall assessment for the LLB in 2005.  After this he took and passed the LLM (R) at UEA from 2005-6 before obtaining a PhD from Cambridge in 2010.  He was appointed to the UEA Law faculty in 2010.

Key Research Interests

Gareth's PhD thesis was published, with an additional chapter, by Cambridge University Press in 2013.  The book is entitled: 'Vitiation of Contracts: International Contractual Principles and English Law'.  He has also published articles on Land Law and Animal Welfare Law.  Gareth intends to focus further research on Animal Welfare Law.
