Giovanni Bressan has been at UEA since 2021. His research is focused on the development of coherent spectroscopic techniques for the investigation of ultrafast electronic and vibrational dynamics in condensed phase, such as energy transfer in conjugated macromolecular nanostructures, electron transfer and fast photochemical reactions in model systems.
Prior to joining UEA he was a Research Associate at Imperial College London with Professor Jasper J. van Thor, where he worked on experimental and theoretical aspects of multidimensional infrared and electronic spectroscopy of anisotropic materials.
G. B. got his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia (2016-2020) under the supervision of Professors Ismael A. Heisler and Stephern R. Meech.
