Biography

Giovanni Bressan has been a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow since 2024. Previously he was a Senior Research Associate at UEA. His research focuses on assessing the role of nuclear wavepackets in ultrafast photophysics and photochemistry. To this aim he develops and employs coherent multidimensional spectroscopic techniques.

Prior to joining UEA he was a Research Associate at Imperial College London with Professor Jasper J. van Thor, where he worked on experimental and theoretical aspects of multidimensional infrared and electronic spectroscopy.

G. B. got his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia (2016-2019) under the supervision of Professors Ismael A. Heisler, Stephen R. Meech and Garth A. Jones.
