Personal profile

Academic Background

I have a background in Economics, with a Master's (M.Sc.) from the University of Cologne (exchange at KU Leuven) and a Bachelor's (B.Sc.) from the University of Münster (exchange at UCM Madrid). During my studies, I have specialised in behavioural and experimental economics.

I am especially interested in the applications of behavioural and experimental insights to tackle global environmental challenges. In my PhD, I investigate the motivations for pro-environmental behaviour and sustainable consumption in Peru.

Key Research Interests

My key research interests focus on behavioural and experimental development economics and its link to pro-environmental decision making.

I am interested in household surveys, lab and field experiments.

Career

Next to my PhD, I work as a research fellow at the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) in Bonn, Germany. In our project, we analyse the carbon consumption patterns of the growing middle classes in Peru, the Philippines and Ghana.
