Biography

Hassan Malik is an Associate Professor at the School of Computing Science at the University of East Anglia. Prior to this, he was a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex, UK. He has also served as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Edge Hill University, UK, and as a Researcher at the Thomas Johann Seebeck Department of Electronics, Tallinn University of Technology. Before these roles, Hassan worked as a Postgraduate Researcher at the 5G Innovation Centre, University of Surrey, UK, and as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Wireless Communication, University of Oulu, Finland.

Hassan holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, an MSc in Wireless Communication Engineering from the University of Oulu, Finland, and a BE in Information and Communication Systems from the National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. He also holds a "Researcher to Innovator" diploma from the SETsquared Partnership, UK, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from Edge Hill University, UK. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

Key Research Interests

My research interests include Wireless Networking and Communications, Energy-Efficient Green Networking, Cognitive Radio Networks, Full-Duplex Communication, Broadband Wireless, Context- and User-Aware Networks, the Internet of Things, Interference and Resource Management, NB-IoT, URLLC, Decentralized IoT Networks, Edge/Fog Computing, AI for Wireless Networks, Vehicular Networks, and Mobile Positioning.
