Biography

Helen Trelford joined UEA as a lecturer on the Primary PGCE in 2018 and teaches the English component of the course. She holds a degree in English Literature, a Primary PGCE, the National Award for SEN Coordination and an MA in Advanced Educational Practice. She is undertaking doctoral research exploring time, flow and autonomy in reception classrooms. Before joining the PGCE team at UEA, Helen worked as an infant teacher, primarily in Reception but also in in Key Stage 1.
Helen is a long-standing member of the UEA Writing Teachers group and has a keen interest in communities of writers.
