Dr Assadi is a PhD student at the University of East Anglia and an Honorary Data Scientist at the Cardiology department in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals. He graduated from the faculty of medicine at Misr University of Science and Technology, Egypt, in 2017 and completed his foundation year training in Libya. He undertook his postgraduate degree at the University of Sheffield in advanced cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging methods in 2019 and was awarded the degree of Master of Research with distinction in 2020. Dr Assadi has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. His current h-index is 3. He is trained in advanced post-processing methods of CMR, including volumes, scar, fibrosis and 4D flow CMR. He has joined the CMR team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals to work on Artificial Intelligence. He is collaborating with the University of Sheffield, Leiden University (The Netherlands), and Pie Medical Imaging to translate novel technologies under the supervision of Dr Pankaj Garg at NNUH.
