Biography

Ivan is Associate Professor in Leadership and Change at Norwich Business School. He is currently Director of Engagement and Employability.  Prior to this, Ivan held the roles of Co-Head of the ESI Group and Director of MBA Programmes and Executive Education.  

Ivan has taught in higher education since 2008, and continues to lecture at the University of Cambridge and UEA.  At UEA, he leads and teaches on a range of modules around the topics of organisational behaviour, leadership and change management.

Ivan is passionate about bringing learning to life and keeping it relevant. To this end, he is also co-founder of the pioneering spin-off company Studious Ryze, that supports organisations through training in business, leadership and management.  

Ivan's research interests span a range of areas in occupational psychology, including leadership, business transformation, trust, identity, community and change.  He also has research interests in teaching and learning, particularly related to digital technologies. 

Since working in higher education, Ivan has won several awards for research and teaching excellence.  He has also engaged consultancy work with leading global companies. He has collaborated with many organisations, including HM Treasury, Aviva PLC, the Department for Trade and Industry, The NHS, AXA Health, the Financial Reporting Council, PWC, L'Oreal, HSBC and others.  Please contact Ivan directly if you would like to discuss consultancy or training with him. 

Qualifications: BA (hons), PGCert, MSc, PhD.  He is also a fellow of the HEA.
