Personal profile
Biography
I began work at NBS in September 2015 as a full-time lecturer. I teach management accounting at all levels on the undergraduate course as well as the post-graduate conversion course. I have taught accounting for 20 years, prior to my position at NBS. My teaching began at City College Norwich, teaching professional accounting qualifications such as the AAT and ACCA, followed by a Programme Manager position at INTO UEA. INTO UEA is a public/private partnership with UEA whose purpose is to prepare international students for UK University education.
In 2017/18, I have begun developing materials and delivering Executive Training in order to provide an understanding of what Mangement Accounting is and how the function can benefit other operational managers.
I am qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant and have worked at Yorkshire Water as an Internal Auditor and Lotus Cars as a Project Accountant.
Teaching has always been my passion and as Brad Henry put it “A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instil a love of learning.”
My office hours are Tuesday 1.30pm - 2.30pm and on Wednesday 1pm - 2pm in room EFRY 2.17. Please email me to let me know you are coming.
