Jason Peart

I am completing my PhD in American Studies, having previously completed my master’s degree in Gender Studies at the University of East Anglia (UEA). I have over ten years of experience working with homeless and vulnerable adults within the prison system, as well as experience as a Substance Misuse Practitioner. After taking a career break to focus on my studies, I have come to appreciate the value of working-class experiences, especially being from such a background myself, particularly as academia tends to overlook this critical area. I believe such perspectives can provide important insights into how inequality operates. I aspire for my research to serve as a valuable contribution towards creating a more equitable society.
