Biography

Julia became Head of Research Services at UEA in 2017. Research Services comprises teams and specilaist roles who support pre and post award research contract support, research finance reporting, international and EU funding, impact support, research integrity, open access and research data management, research management information and systems (Pure, Ethics Monitor). Research Services also hosts university strategic research themes ClimateUEA and CreativeUEA. 

Secretary to the University's Research Executive and member of Health & Social Care Partners' Advisory Group, Information Compliance Steering Group, Data & Information Steering Group, CTU Executive Committee, IT Forum, and Impact & Innovation Awards Judging Panel. 

Outside of work, Julia enjoys time with her dogs and horse, and volunteers for various riding clubs and British Eventing.  

External Activities

Since 2019, Julia has been a member of UK Research & Innovation's Research Organisation Consultation Group (UKRI ROCG). 

Julia is also a member of the Association of Research Managers and Administrators (ARMA).
