Biography

Julia became Head of Research Services at UEA in 2017. Research Services comprises teams and specilaist roles who support pre and post award research contract support, research finance reporting, international and EU funding, impact support, research integrity, open access and research data management, research management information and systems (Pure, Ethics Monitor). Research Services also hosts the university's strategic research themes ClimateUEA and CreativeUEA. 

Secretary to the University's Research Executive, member of Health & Social Care Partners' Advisory Group, Information Compliance Steering Group, CTU Executive Committee, Research Culture Working Group and Impact & Innovation Awards Judging Panel. Also theme lead for Research & Innovation in the Digital Transformation Project, and member of the Strategy Review Programme Research Reputation Project Team. 

Outside of work, Julia enjoys time with her dogs and horse, helping others as a gundog and pet dog trainer, and as a volunteer for various riding clubs and British Eventing.
