I am a paramedic by background and trained with an ambulance trust whilst completing a BSc (Hons) Open University science degree. My subsequent advanced practitioner MSc, and PGCert in Higher Education Practice enables me to maintain a clinical role, whilst also working as a lecturer. I am also an Advanced Life Support instructor as certified by the Resuscitation Council. My teaching interest lies in clinical skills & decision making, which is reflected in the modules I lead on. My focus is on delivering excellence in paramedic education, and I am committed to supporting our students to achieve a high standard. I was delighted to receive the 'Most Inspiring Teaching' award along with The Vice-Chancellors Award at the UEA SU Transforming Education ceremony in 2018. As a wider part of my focus on furthering paramedics, I peer review literature for the British Paramedic Journal in order to support the steadily growing field of paramedic led research.
