Key Research Interests

Julieta has extensive experience working with people living with dementia and supporting their family and formal carers on this journey. Her doctoral research focused on the identification and understanding of how extrinsic and intrinsic dementia factors (including the human and the physical environment) affect the ability to complete daily tasks in people living with dementia.

Julieta is currently working on increasing her understanding of the available interventions that exist to provide carers with the information they need to support their family members on daily activities. She aims to develop a thorough programme to upskill carers so that they can promote people living with dementia’s participation in meaningful tasks.
