Personal profile

Academic Background

I was hired by the Sainsbury Centre for the Gatsby Cataloguing Project (2020 - 2022) to manage all new written content produced for the online collections public catalogue:

I held responsibility for coordinating all cataloguers, digitising and collating all research resources, editing all new texts, as well as writing entries. I sourced multimedia content to enhance written online interpretation and formed part of the core team making key decisions about the direction of project work.

I previously directed the Mellon Foundation-funded Cataloguing Project and Exhibition for Georgetown University’s Art Collection in Washington D.C.  (2012 - 2016) and won the 2017 American Library Association’s Leab Award for the accompanying exhibition catalogue.

Prior to this, I worked as Assistant Curator for the Americas collections at the National Museum of Scotland, and curated the Artistic Legacies permanent new gallery, working with Indigenous artists on interpretation of works of art for the Royal Museum Project redevelopment. I have also worked as Editorial Assistant for the World Art Journal and as Gallery Curator for the British Columbia Potters Guild, Vancouver, Canada.
