Personal profile

Biography

I have a BSc in Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology (specialising in Psychology), and an MSc in School Psychology (with distinction), both from the University of Athens, Greece. The focus of my Master’s dissertation was on psychological identity, psychosocial adaptation and subjective well-being among native and immigrant adolescents in Greece.

During my Master’s degree I completed an 18 month-long internship in the Spyros Doxiadis Diagnostic & Therapeutic Unit for Children and in Counselling Services of Arsakeia-Tositseia Schools, gaining significant experience on family structures and functions.

Key Research Interests

I joined the UEA on a full time PhD studentship in October 2012. My research interests focus on couples’ negotiation of childcare in light of fathers increased entitlements to paternity leave and flexible working. My supervisors are Professor Margaret O’Brien and Dr Sara Connolly.
