Personal profile
Biography
I am Relationship Manager covering the area of Medical and Diagnostics. The role is broad but at its heart is building and maintaining relationships between our academic researchers in the medical and life sciences and external organisations looking to benefit from collaboration.
I particularly enjoy brokering relationships between businesses and our academics to identify the different ways collaborations can best be created to mutual advantage. From short student projects and placements, through consultancy to larger collaborative R&D and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP). Each project being tailored to ensure the right choice is made for getting the best outcomes.
Initially graduating with a BSc in Chemistry, followed by a PhD from Newcastle University in microbiological chemistry, I have worked in both industry and academia in areas of biotechnology before moving into knowledge exchange.
Prior to my current role I worked at the Babraham Campus, Cambridge and have since held various knowledge exchange roles at Norwich Research Park and New Anglia LEP managing a spectrum of activities all aimed at brokering knowledge exchange and supporting innovation.
