Areas of Expertise
Dr Kevin Barker is an interdisciplinary legal scholar and criminologist with expertise in jurisprudence, public law, and private law (tort and land); criminology and criminal law; penal law and policy; crime and global security; and legal history - especially of postcolonial societies. He currently works on punishment in the British Commonwealth; corrective justice and historic public wrongs; and constitutional identities in decolonial republicanism.
He is available to supervise PhD students in the above-mentioned and related areas.
