Kumud graduated with a BSc(Pharmacy) degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa in 1994. Kumud registered as a pharmacist in the UK and became a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain in 1999. Kumud has worked in the UK National Health Service (NHS) for 18 years as a hospital pharmacist.
Kumud has completed a Diploma in Pharmacy Practice (School of Pharmacy, University of London), Postgraduate Award in Clinical Oncology (The University of Warwick) and a Master of Research in Clinical Research (King's College London). Kumud joined the University fo East Anglia in 2017 to undertake a PhD, looking at designing services for older people living with and beyond cancer.
Kumud is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and is a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, British Oncology Pharmacy Association and International Society of Geriatric Oncology.
