Personal profile
Academic Background
I studied Children's Nursing at the University of East Anglia intake September 2000. When I qualified in 2003 I moved to Bristol and started working on the combined adult and paediatric Bone marrow transplant Unit at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. I worked on this Unit until 2012, although I did take a career break in 2005 for 2 years when I lived in New Zealand and worked on the paediatric ward in Wellington Hospital.
In 2011 I started a part time Masters in Children's Advanced Nurse Practitioner at London South Bank University, which I completed in 2015.
In 2012 I took on the role as the Paediatric Leukaemia Clinical Nurse Specialist for the South West of England. In 2015 after completing my masters I became the first Paediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Paediatric Oncology, Haematology and Bone marrow transplant at The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
In 2022 I started my new role as an academic at UEA.
