Biography

Matthew Mullett is a PhD candidate at the University of East Anglia, with a keen interest in global modernist literature of the early 20th century and commodity cultures. His doctoral project focuses on commodities in Atlantic modernisms, incorporating the literature of Cuba, the American South, Italy, and the modernist metropolitan centres of New York and Dublin. He has so far published an article, ‘Modernity, Loneliness and Religion in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “Thank You for the Light”’ in The Modernist Review, with future publications on commodity cultures and modernism in progress.
