Personal profile
Biography
I received my LLM in 2018, winning the UEA Law School prizes for best performance overall and for best dissertation. I was awarded a Law School studentship and started working towards a PhD in October 2019.
My research looks at liability in tort law for accidents involving autonomous (self-learning/machine learning) technology. I am especially interested in US and UK products liability, including approaches to responsibility for unforseeable accidents (those beyond the state of the art).
Having worked as a legal costs expert for thirty years, I retain an interest in UK civil litigation funding, practice and procedure.
