Mikayla graduated as a registered Children's Nurse in 2007 from the University of Hertfordshire. Following this, Mikayla thoroughly enjoyed working in a wide range of acute settings, such as, children's wards, children's assessment units and children's accident and emergency; ensuring the physical and mental health needs of children and young people were met, adopting a child-centred and family-centred care approach. Additionally, Mikayla worked in a school for physically and neurologically impaired young people aged from 3 to 18 years.
